Yeeeh, I did another one~This time... Gay Pride
And I really like the outcome of this picture! I think it's the hair, but I dunno.
Sadly Mr. Top-10-Anime-Hairstyles here is a sad case of creating a character but never doing anything with it... or what was planned for him didn´t work out, so he kinda just.. was there without an actual purpose. Which is a true shame, because I'm really fond of him.
Oh well.. it has been a while... 3 or 4 years to be exact, but at last he's not forgotten~
I'm... actually really nervous with posting my fan characters... I know the bad reputation Sonic FCs hold... which is one reason why I barely draw and/or post them.. other than fan children that is...

This is gorgeous! On the other hand, I feel you. Every fandom I enter happens to be "the worst fandom of fandoms" and what not. I'm just glad I'm able to have an opinion of the over exaggerated titles. Just draw whatever you want to draw and don't let others control you. If you want to post oodles of images and art of your fan kids just do it..

It's less other people controling me but more my own anxiety stopping myself from drawing my characters too often. In the past I had little problem with that but at some point a few years ago, people started to get extremely pissy about fan characters. It scared me, so I stopped drawing mine (except for the fan children) and just sticked with the official cast and shipping art.
I try to get over that fear though ^^

But on a side tangent, It is alright being nervous about things, Yes the Sonic fan community is bad but other communities are just as bad.. You can try and flesh out a story for a character or just do it for fun, You just have to know that there's going to be some criticism or ask friends for help, maybe feel inspired to draw or make a character. I enjoy seeing characters that aren't the same species as we've seen so many times.. Really what you can do is draw a character or redesign them and see if you feel comfortable with them or not. Show a friend or someone you trust. But just take time and think.. And please don't think I'm forcing you into it, I know how it can feel.

Well... to be fair. Comet here has an actual place now. Something that he lacked when I first created him, was how his relationship with my other characters would be. Back then I didn´t think that far ahead and when what was planned for him didn´t work out, I was like "....damn, what am I doing with him now?"
At first I didn´t know, so I shoved him in a side space of my brain but around a year later (I think) I actually started to think about it. He got his place now but that probably won´t help with drawing him more often XD
