Its a cool creature and an interesting and intimidating design. But I will say that if this is the creature from the black lagoon there nothing I see in this design that indicates its aquatic nature. Im all up for radical reinterpretations of old designs but this beastie looks more like it belongs to the world of Resident Evil than something that evolved in the Amazon. But as for the art itself, your painting skills are superb.

I heard they were remaking Creature of the Black Lagoon within the next year or two. Do you think the Creature will look anything like this guy here? Because I think it should!

I see the aquatic life, and I see the man. But it doesn't exactly scream creature from the black lagoon. At least not at what I knew it as. Not that that's a bad thing.
It's a wonderful envision of the beast. Completely unique and grotesque. It feels like something that would slither out of a lagoon. A monstrous thing that kills with ambiguity and indiscriminately.
But, it doesn't look like something that would fall in love with an actress either. Haha.
I'm torn on this, I really am. I love the re-imagining and the re-rendering of it, but at the same time it throws one of my favorite classic horror movies into the funeral pyre and then pisses on it.
I'll just go with it's unique to its self. And I'd love to see where it could go from here. This beast of an idea wouldn't be thrown into the original storyline, it would have a whole new story designed for it. And that, is a story I wish to watch unfold.

I wasn't working to a brief, I was having fun! no art directors or management telling me what they want to see. that's something I love so very much about personal work you do it for yourself, no one else and it helps you grow as an artist. I'm still new to this whole modeling thing so every piece I do I learn so much from. Thanks again.

This much is true. And as I said before, it is indeed an impressive image. It looks like something that should be in a video game, if nothing else. That thing looks like it'd kick the hell out of a lot of people.

Wicked gnarly. I love the musculature and unique anatomy you've given this guy. Mad creepy in that it looks as if he has no epidermis! So if he even has a circulatory system, you can see all the crimson underneath!
Looks like something straight out of Resident Evil in the fear it conveys - as of course, something entirely unique and all your own.

You're welcome! It's kinda strange - it's grose but I come back looking at it. Like I was writing the original comment, I was looking at it, thinking how horrid it is, wrote some of the comment and went back up again... and again... and after commenting, I looked at it as I faved. Like I said, disgusting and awesome.
