sure, now while a Twili may warp matter to and fro any given place (like the two bridges and Link himself) the power is shown to be restricted to a single dimention at a time. (aka. Midna can't drag Zant's a$$ out from the Twilight realm while in the Light realm)
but if one were to...say, be endowed by Ganondorf to go through the worlds without restriction of the mirror, then they could see anyone they want.
so Ganondorf used this power on Zant...the power of the Triforce.
can you remember what happened to Ganondorf? He's dead, and his piece is deactivated.
now, if the two remaining Triforce weilders were to have ANY brains at all, I'd assume while Link was having a joyous reunion with Midna, Zelda was hangin with Ganondorf's corpse removing the inactive Triforce of power.
so if Link were to see Midna again, all he'd need is Zelda's permission to travel freely through the gap between worlds.
....it's actually much more neatly placed in my mind....

I agree, the end of Twilight Princess was really sad, I cried too.. I miss Midna :C. I hope in future games Link will find another entrance to the Twilight and see her again.. ;;
