Hello! I'd like to dedicate this for everyone for this Chinese New Year celebration.

Try to spot all the twelve animal sign: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.

In the last few months, I had in mind to do a new year-related painting for a print this season. You can say it's a way to show my appreciation to my family for giving trust to believe in my chosen career.

The elements itself has their meaning, too. Like the trio plum blossom, bamboo and pine means longevity and perseverance. Peony has its many significance. Fish, riches.

It took me many hours of frustration and desperation since last week to get it done on time. I have a small progress shot -> here !

At first, I was playing around with strokes, tried to make it messy-but-yet-neat. Then, realism with some chinese painting-esque. One thing comes to another and somewhere along, I think it's quite neat to have the animals "hidden" in an otherwise landscape painting.

All in a pot and I wondered how it would taste. Haha! I didn't mix too well. Not so smooth. The mountain has the traditional chinese painting look I wanted though.

Anyway, I'm trying to set up for DA prints. I printed this on fabric paper in our local banner shop and it looks SO dark. I'm wondering if I should adjust more brightness so the DA prints won't ended up like the crap from the banner shop. I would really really appreciate any advice.
