Description Sindra and her ancestor, the ancient dragon Ishanur... yes, they are a family, notice that they have the same horn design

I'm developing Sindra to be very compassionate towards the dragons, her relationship with her ancestor is interesting. Well you 'll see when I finish the first chapters

I'm not entirely sure of his design yet... he will be possible bigger than that... I might change a lot of stuff in the future, but I'm wanting to develop this project more and give it shape. So you will have to bear a lot of sketchy pictures like that

Brief dragon story:

"Dragons are some of the most powerful and ancient creatures known to habit this world, some of them are said to have witnessed the creation itself, but this may be just a myth. And so they reigned absolutely until humans learned the secret to use the elements to their favour creating magic, leading them to become powerful and question the dragon's supremacy. Eventually both races clashed in a bloody war that took many generations to be settled.

Eventually a human king noticed that it was worthless to fight these superior beings, and leading a group of sorcerers he tried to tame the dragons power and use it. And so, the human king used the same procedure as Allerion did to create the Avians, and used forbidden magic to create hybrids between dragons and themselves, hoping that they would be a valorous aid to their army, and thus the Draconian race was born...

The hybrids were almost as powerful as their reptilian ancestors and were trained to be perfect soldiers and to have excelence in dragon hunting, and so the dragon numbers dropped significantly through the years. Unfortunately for them the newborn race rebeled against humanity and got out of control...

Nowadays the remaining dragons made an alliance with the hybrid race and with all lesser repitilian sentient species and founded an Empire."

*I know this sounds a bit like Skyrim but I had this stuff on my head years go .-.

I love this stuff and info so much! Now I got a better idea of draconian race thanks to you dear Maybe now I will be able to give a shape to Sicarius' past and parents, and then show it to you to help me with some things because I am not as experimented as you in these mythological stories of avians and draconians. Now I am so interesed and determinated to help you developing the story,  that I would do anything   Maybe we could help eachoder along just like in a

symbiosis xD Oh don't blame me I had a biology test!

Oh yes, I need to show more about them! I know the details about the Draconian race are still very unclear and most of them are still unsettled, but I just have to think a bit more... I'm developing a chart-stuff about all the races and how the politics works I think it will be interesting for your Sicarius It has info even about humans and stuff, perhaps it will be helpful even for me developing more ideas

But don't worry about the details and stuff, this project is all about having fun so it is not very rigid even I don't have a solid idea of what will happen so I'm totally open to new ideas and brainstorm!

Yay! Tell me what you have in mind for his parents and I will help you with any doubts you have hahaha don't worry I absolutely love Biology, always been my favorite subject along with ancient history

Ah - sounds like some lovely artistic collaboration going on here - exciting!

I dont want to muscle in as I really respect people's ownership of their story but I always like giving feedback if its asked for so please keep posting.

BTW MiKeiLO I loved your character - mixed race lone wolf with interesting colouring and shamanic power is totally up my street so well done.

Symbiosis - love it. I adore complicated words as you can tell from my stories. One of the only things I remember from my biology days (and we are talking a long while ago) is osmosis... that and my biology teachers enormous forehead XD

Gah! The way you draw dragons - amazing! They are my fav thing to draw although its been ages. I really like the concepts you are coming up with - this sounds like an interesting story and makes me want to work on mine.

I agree with you! They are also my favorite thing to draw, (even more than birds!) because you can go nuts with their design and basically have full liberty to express your creativity through them... I remember during my boring clases I used to draw some "evil" furious dragons full of thorns and spikes or soft cute ones full of fluffy feathers/fur depending on my mood

I told you but I'm more than curious to know what your stuff would be about! I have a rough idea for what you said, but still it makes me curious because we seem to have some similar tastes (haha, basically I'm just a bit more crazy when it comes to it, but anyway) everything you write is just so epic and more than often very touching to me

Long time no reply but yeah I adore Dragons - have done ever since I was young. I have so many pics from my teen days but I wouldn't inflict them on the good people of DA, even though I think of all the things I used to do in my teens the dragons were the best. I dont know whether I have told you this already so forgive me from repeating myself but since you asked hehe... I have many stories I have wanted to write for years and have started to write them in little pieces but have never really finished.

I have a main fantasy story which I started thinking of when I was 10 (can you believe!)after first reading LOTR! That story has changed and grown (when I started Im ashamed to say I fell into all the traps of creating essentially LOTR fanfic with a Mary Sue - thank God the internet wasn't around back then otherwise I might have posted it! Lol) Now Ive thankfully toned it down a bit and it features a girl with the power of fire and a host of other elemental figures. It also has quite a tragic backstory. This is the one that reminds me of Aquila because of the fiery redhead protagonist.

My second baby is a sci-fi book I have been thinking about since 14 years old and have tried to write on different occasions with varying success. It too has a female kickass protagonist but lots of other interesting (I think) characters with different motives and backgrounds. It is a lot like Star Wars in the ancient cultures/hero journey in space thing rather than a more clinic Star Trek feel although I also love Star Trek. One of the major themes is faith vs science and the whole yin-yang nature of the universe.

Other worlds I have created are mostly fantasy including one based on a D and D roleplay game with my good friends that I am really proud of. I love it because it feeds the actor part of me as well as the writer and artist as I have written parts of our adventures and illustrated them although since I started my course I wanted to redo my illustrations so they are a sufficient calibre. The original ones I started out with are just pencil and paper.

I don't know about you but I find it hard to sustain writing a story so I flit between them. George RR Martin of the famous Song of Fire and Ice series recommends sticking with an idea and following it through which I am trying to do now by finishing my fanfic short stories. He also suggests writing short stories first to learn and improve.

So yeah thats a brief run down of the myriad ideas that I have ! I love all things mythological and fantastic as you might have guessed (lol) so I love seeing other peoples magical worlds as well as my own. So in short I can't wait for some more details from you about your world!

Ps - I know you share my love of Uchiha dark haired guys  but how do you feel about white/silver haired guys? (young guys not old men) Im going through a bit of a phase here hehe...

This is beautifully detailed (especially the Ishanur) and you can tell how compassionate Sindra is towards the dragons by her expression.

Ahw dear, thank you so much! I'm so glad when I see you liked my stuff, specially these that are original makes me all happy and proud

And she truly is! They are seen as monsters by most people, and she knows they aren't that bad if given the chance... he will be very ruthless at the beginning but later Sindra will soften his heart a bit

OH MY! Oh my! OH MY! I ESPECIALLY LOVE THIS! WOW!

(I can see Nix standing on the other side. She would look great in this picture as well.)

Anyway, this is amazing! Love it! Sindra looks at peace here. Ishanur looks awesome. I just love dragons! They are so amazing. Can't wait to see it colored.

Oh, and the other pict with Aquila too.

Owwaaaaa ahaha, I'm so glad you liked this one dear! I won't deny, I was thinking of you while drawing this.... and yesp, she would look beautiful there,a  true family reunion I could do this, Perhaps I might do a better version later because I really need to change some things on Ishanur... I'm still developing his full design and color scheme, I want him to be perfect since he is very important!

Ohohoh, of course, I also love them more than it's health! I think it is so interesting to have such incredible creatures being important characters in my story..

I agree! (Incredible creatures)

And I think Ishanur looks great. But I'm sure the changes you have in mind will look great too. Also, me too! Would love to see him full body. I know when you draw him, he will look awesome. (Colored too)

And that would be awesome to see Nix in the pict as well, but only if you want her there. This looks great too. But yes! A true family reunion.

Sorry for my reply being all over the place. @_@

If you need more reference on design, color, and/or background for Ishanur, I think some great ones would come from the D&D depictions of chromatic and metallic dragons. Each type has distinguishing horns and body shape, I always thought they were great as opposed to your general flat-faced, scaly-all-over fantasy types. My favorites has to be their black , blue , and copper dragons.

This looks like great potential! The linework alone is so detailed, I know you'll go nuts on Sindra's robes.

Oh dear. This is so awesome I'm having so much fun with these dragon designs! I think I will add some nice spiky plates on his back

Haha It has been some years since I last dedicated myself to them (well, I took these recent times to develop human anatomy) but I never forget them, they are my favorite creatures to draw exactly because you can add the craziest ideas and the design is almost 100% free to creativity

Ohhw, you know me too well, I can't let her robes just be plain
