OMG, look at this! Like I said on tumblr, I love the glossy feel to your latest arts. 
Madara is so sinister and menacing here and really liking the light background and dark blue tint to the whole image. And him pulling off ( putting on? ) his mask just intensifies the feeling of danger and also his deadly allure.
I'm looking forward to see this AU expanded more.

and ahww, I'm so glad you noticed the change in arts... I have to say it was a bit inspired on your own stuff - like the way you draw perfectly without linearts - after the problem I had I need to strain less for a while so I noticed linearts were consuming too much of my time.. that's why I started trying this new style
Having fun for now but it can be really tricky sometimes
And lol Madara... as always my bird of prey had to look menacing

Your art is evolving beautifully and OMG, I can't believe my stuff inspired you, I'm so happy and honored.
Linearts are really taxing to do and since I don't have what we call here 'sure hand', can't draw perfect clear lines in one smooth motion, drawing without/minimal use of them seemed like the best option.
Of course I'll join in, it's just that I'm a complete noob when it comes to Japanese mythology and unfortunately don't have too much time to brush up on it at the moment, but with you two experts and your art and posts on tumblr, I'll learn as I go for now.

I need to do the research because the AU is basically Madara and Mito being their proper mythological selves. Mito is a kitsune and Madara is a tengu (just look at his perfect Susano'o.) It would be sad if I can confidently protray them.
I like to keep to the myths as close as possible but yet add my own twist. For example, Madara in his tengu form is a mixture of bird and man. Mito has a in-between form, where she has fox ears and her tails.

The design is lovely, and the way the ruby shines with his sharingan is lovely.The shade and shine looks magnificent. I get a bit of a dark feel from it, yet a soft light.I think the claw on his hand needs to be shaded a bit more darker and a little more shine to it, so it can have that metallic feeling. Other than that it's all in all it's well.
have you ever considered possibly drawing Mei as Amphitrite, I think it would suit her so well

I'm so glad you liked the design! seriously, I had lots of fun drawing this and hmm, I'm specially glad that you liked the shading - it is a sort of new style I'm trying without lineart, so I can get a bit confused on how to draw certain things - and I'm glad you perceive the light and dark play
I totally agree about the claw! I changed it a bit, see if it looks better
About Mei - I drew her once with an ocean theme fireeaglespirit.deviantart.com… but I really plan on drawing her again as a mermaid - Amphitrite is such a gorgeous idea
