Description Oil on Posterboard

I had no idea how to categorize this. The painting is of flowers, but those flowers were a still life, and it's rather abstract, though I'd lean more towards impressionistic. So it goes in other...

This was our third painting for class. The object was equivocal space, and I think I accomplished that fairly well. Also, I used nearly an entire tube of cadmium yellow... not cheap paint.

I love the way you can see the texture, it is very beautiful... And that yellow is so bright and vivid, still kinda calm... Very good painting.

I'm not a huge fan of abstract art, but this ones looks really cool. So, yeah, that's a very positive thing (and don't tell me about the prices of oils, I have to buy a new white tube soon...)

Not as keen on this as your other one you linked, although the bright colours on this really shine.

Thanks. This was more of an experiment than anything. It's so different from my normal style, but it really forced me to work outside my comfort zone. I actually hated it while I was working on it, but in the end I was happy with the result.

Still haven't decided if I want to do more like this or not though.
