My first try at a modern HTTYD! Yay! It's not the greatest, and I have a lot more in progress. The picture quality sucked, as usual, so sorry about that
Backstory: Hiccup, in freshman year in high school, has had to go to summer school for flunking science two years in a row. Everyone knows about it. So when he is partnered up with Astrid in science for a lab, he accidently shatters a beaker. It gets all over Astrid's paper.
This does not boost his reputation with Astrid, or anyone else for that matter.
If looks could kill, Hiccup would be dead.

The characters are erasily recognisable and the expressions are great.

Nice backstory, poor Hiccup though. XD I like how Astrid's shirt has irregular stripes. Maybe bend them a bit downwards to show that her body's not so flat. :3 Stripes can do wonders indeed.

Nice drawing~! I think you could improve on the anatomy of their bodies. You could use references. You can google it or look at other drawings/bases. I really like the way you color Hiccup's hair! I also like the backstory and their expressions!
