Description
the light touches my face, warming and calming me from the night before
my eyes flutter open, seeing as if i never saw before
my nose smells the crisp clean air that filters from the open window
my ears hear the waves crash and receed from the storm that passed only hours before
i sit up with eager limbs, ready to dance and flow like the curtains waving in the wind
walking to the window, i see the light of another day
my heart races, thrilled at another attempt at the perfect day
