Legend of Dragoon is one of my favorite all time games. The battle system, the story, the music - it's all just perfect. I really wanted to make a Shana cosplay because she's my next favorite female character after Rose.
The costume was pretty easy. I used white linen for the shirt, undershirt, and shorts, with blue linen for the trim. The gloves are made from a brown jersey knit fabric. The boots I already owned, but I added the little strap across the toes. The "ankle capes" are made from tan Whisper Vinyl, backed with brown twill and fastened with buckles and leather straps.
The armor is made from a craft foam base, covered in vinyl, and backed with wire and brown twill. The cincher and collar feature quilting to replicate the look of the "scales" in the reference material. I did make the quiver and arrows, and I have a recurve bow, but still need to take pictures with them ^.^
I'm really happy with this costume, and I wish LoD would get more love. I was pleasantly surprised at how many people actually recognized me at Otakon

Haha, I couldn't find the 18th floor! And then that silly Maid Cafe locked the elevator I was in from going up to 18...it was all sorts of confusing and I was late for a staff meeting.

Ohhh spiffy! I will finally add you to my watch list *nodnod*. I have seen your costumes throughout the past years, and I have always been a fan. You even helped on a costume question on cosplay.com back in the day. I only realized this after I noticed your Athena and recognized the costume that my friend did a photoshoot with you at Otakon. XD

I think you should make her Dragoon form. I wasn't really a Shana fan. (I loved Rose, and Merle) But I really loved Shana's Dragoon design.
Also, I adored the design in this game so much. Unfortunately, I got stuck on disc 4 and never finished it...

Me and my brother absolutly loved LoD after playing a demo of it (even though the magazine only gave it 6/10, boo OPM). We completed it three times between us. Shame it was so underated. Shana >>[^5]>> Miranda

That armor looks so good! I'm loving those squares in the middle -- must've taken forever to measure and do! @_@

Thank you! Nah, I just kind of drew an outline on craft foam and started cutting. The squares are sewn lines and then I sewed all the vinyl cut-outs on top. That neck piece was the hardest part (aside from getting the shoulders to stay in place).

Wow, you did an absolutely AMAZING job with this!!! Shana is a wonderful character to cosplay, and you did a great job with what you had. Legend of Dragoon is still one of my favorite games ever, but, sadly, my set doesn't want to work anymore and I can't finish the game TT-TT Well, I love Shana and how you cosplayed her!! You're awesome!
