Some birb facts:

Hoatzins (Opisthocomus hoazin), live in southamerica's rainforests.

They are known for the claws on their wings - as their chicks hatch, they use the claws to climb the trees till their feathers mature/till the feathers fully grow and they are ready to fly.

The feathers of hoatzins take long to mature - it takes three years for the feathers to fully grow, and in that time the chicks are just climbing the trees.
After the hoatzins are able to fly, they don't use the claws anymore.

These birds are herbivores, feeding on fruits and leaves of the trees, and they have an unusual digestive system with en enlarged crop, that is used for fermentation of the vegetable matter.
They are also nicknamed as "stink birds", due to their digestive system's fermentation, which is causing a weird odour.
They sure are a very interesting pheasant-sized ancient birds.
