I'm with and Rebeltaxi that the movie isn't really bad, just very flawed. I do think it has some certain appeal to audiences if they can pass the gross-out because I think this movie was quite creative and imaginative. Plus, I don't think it's fair to compare it with Disney/Pixar's Inside Out. Yes, they have their similar context but not really the same movie. They do have their different kind of stories to make them stand out on their own. The reason why I tried to defend this movie because I have a fond memory while I was a kid and I still enjoyed to this very day. Plus, tv series was pretty good and probably one of the best movies to tv adaptations out there. Trust me, I really recommend it. While it may not be one of Warner Bros’ Best Animated Movie, but a solid one.PS: Bill Murray still rocks!!!

I agree,Bill Murray’s Frank was not only a complete idiotic and childish character only used for the plot,but I just find him gross and disgusting at times such as vomiting on his daughter’s science teacher,his zit popping on the teacher’s face, farting while hitchhiking with his daughter at the end of the movie, and eating a infected hard-boiled egg. I prefer Murray’s cameo in Space Jam(1996) over this since it was way more funnier and written ten times better than his character in Osmosis Jones was.
Also,I really like the characters since they have a lot of great personalities and charm to them(except for Mayor Phlemming,who just as relentless as Frank and at least he gets what’s coming to him at the end for being a jerk throughout the entire movie),the visuals,and a few pop culture references(such as Titanic). Even through the film bombed at the box-office,it still got a lot of popularity and was so successful on home video to warrant an animated cartoon series called “Ozzy and Drix”.
