Death did what it was always designed to do.Seek people out in their final hours and bring them to the afterlife.
Some had lived well, while others.... sometimes experienced horror.
But the worst for him were those who left early, too early.
He may be what is, but he is ironically the one who will teach the lesson that life is precious and that it would be a crime not to value it or to take away someone else's life.
But life can be unfair, and stops without knowing why...
Which sometimes saddens him a little.

The character of Death in Puss in Boots is a villain who nonetheless conveys an important message: The value of life.
It was at this point that I understood why this villain was so memorable and appreciated by fans.
