I realized that they reduced all your choices to numerical values (the military strength bar/number) and then if you didn't play the multiplayer, shopped that number in half.

Pretty much or play with the Mass Effect Wiki open and scrounge every single resource point you can find and even then the most you get is a total readiness rating of 50% which cuts the real number by half.
Total number of resources x galactic readiness = real number.
Not that it matters considering the endings. I guess Casey Hudson was right, you don't need to play the MP, because it won't affect the ending at all.
