I am a yaoi fan and i think its okay to like it but its When it becomes unhealthy where the problem starts. Like their is much Yaoi porn out there where itβs rape. Actually most of it is. The characters saying they donβt want to and people thinking itβs hot is the problem. And yes, most Yaoi is are just sexual but there are yaois that are really good and show a normal gay relationship. Although its kinda the same with any kind of porn. I'm bi, and honestly the majority of yaoi fangirls I have seen were pretty homophobic, and not in the "EW" way, but in the "OMG ITS SO HAWT WHEN GUYS KISS" way. That's fetishizing, not to mention the majority of them don't like the idea of girls with girls.Β

I don't mind yaoi myself and honestly I haven't seen yaoi fans do any of this, but if they are doing these things (harassing real gay men, demonizing bi people and spreading stereotypes they KNOW to be harmful,) then yeah, I can see that. However let's face it: just as many people get their jollies from seeing a guy and girl make out or two girls make out as see two guys make out; it's just the way humans are, enjoying seeing each other 'enjoy' ourselves. Also, since you clearly have no idea what yaoi means, yaoi is a Japanese term for when two guys are screwing each other, however, as you have probably seen it HAS been used for the wrong thing. I know yaoi's for females. Never said otherwise. And just to make sure you understand me, I have never seen people harassing real gay and bi people.
