On the western shores of Aaru lies a tribe of Jackal warriors who have safeguarded the bodies of the fallen for generations. They are the keepers of the dead, keeping the bodies of the departed safe while their souls are guided to the next life by their tribe's god, Anubis, whom leads them to Osiris for judgement on their deeds in life...where he is sends them is their call to make...Whether they are granted blessed paradise or eternal damnation, The tribe of Anubis's followers keeps their mortal coil protected from the elements that would cause them decay or rot...They are the Anubis tribe! Guardians of the dead, followers of Anubis, and one of the few tribes in Aaru that welcome outsiders with open arms!

Amongst them is a lovely dancer who adores making friends with EVERYONE she meets! Her name is Safiya Rashida, and she is the Avatar of Anubis! The mortal vessel of her people's god! Though, she usually is focused on other things or too distracted to remember that, usually.

Safiya is a sweet, loving, naïve young Anubian who was found by Krouser and Cole among stolen Aaru artifacts taken by bandits. It is not yet known to them how she ended up in her sarcophagus, or why she was put inside of it, but she seemed more interested in the new continent she found herself in more than anything. After awakening her and returning the artifacts to the archeologists they were stolen from, she joined Krouser and Cole on their adventures, traveling with them through the western lands of Amara and Keldonia! Since her awakening, she has cherished every friend that travels with Krouser on his journey, even declaring him her best friend, excitedly awaiting the next adventure that comes to their group with a smiling face and a wagging tail. She gets hungry quite often on their journeys, and she can be a little bratty at times when denied something or someone is being stubborn with her, but she mostly just wants to make friends and make others happy with her talents.

She is very talented Belly dancer! Her movements and performances catches the eye of every traveler and local they come across in their journey, feeling a sense of pride in her chest whenever they praise her for her efforts! Alongside her Belly Dancing, she wishes to learn the other dancing arts of Vitaria as well. She has made it her personal goal to become the greatest dancer in Vitaria! Learning every single dance there is and bringing a smile to everyone's face with each performance she gives them!

However, under her innocent demeanor lies a beast awaiting to respond to her intense fear or blind fury. As the Avatar of Anubis, she is able to tap into the raw, divine power of her people's god and bring forth the wrath of Anubis to any who would threaten her or those close her. This state is called "The Blessing of Anubis", and it is a powerful but dangerous form that turns Safiya from a loving young lady to a merciless, cruel monster... This form has only awoken to the party a few times, but each time, they are ether forced to knock her out, or she comes out of it herself and she remembers little of what transpired by her hands.

Despite this drawback, Safiya's friends still travel alongside her happily, ready to coax their friend back to her innocent self when the wrath of Anubis breaks from its chains. While they still try to find the mystery of how she ended up in that Sarcophagus and whisked away so far from her homeland, and why, her martial arts and talent for dancing continues to be a valuable asset to Krouser and his friends , happily traveling with them on every adventure that awaits them.
