I found the Babel Fish cross stitch pattern from . It's a simple pattern, and I had a lot of fun doing it! The colors really work with the black fabric.

The only change I actually made was adding the period. As I was working through, I wish I would have changed the green label lines because I like things to be smooth across the grid, such as the digestion line. (I do every single backstitch stitch. I think it looks better that way.) So, I wish I would have fixed some of the lines to be smoother...

This was my first project on black aida. I did not have issues or get headaches from it, like some people have said black fabric can cause. People - even the pattern - remind me to have to have really good lighting for black fabric, but I have issues stitching at all with dim light (my eyes are bad), so maybe I already use good enough light? I found it was easier to see the holes to be honest...

The babel fish is a thing from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. This particular image is from the BBC television version of the first book.
Here's what the Guide has to say about it:
