I really had fun with the props for this costume. There is such a huge opportunity to recreate scenes from the movie with just a few simple props, so I wanted, for one, to make Hiccup's journal. I sketched in the two drawings you see throughout the movie: his map of village, and his sketch of Toothless. I had fun tea-staining the paper!

I am left-handed like Hiccup! I love when characters are lefties like me, and that made it super easy to accurately pose as him! hehe.
