Description     “So, this is everything you want, right?” Cassidy asked, looking over the document she had printed out.

“Ah-huh!” Petra said with an eager nod, “It’s… not too much, is it?”

“Oh please, this is easy. I’m just making sure I’m reading this correctly,” huffed the green witch. Today had taken an interesting turn for the white-haired young lady, one that would get more… turny as it were.

“Ah-huh… ah-huh… yeah, can do that.” Cassidy said to Petra, giving her a look from her window, “Give me a second.” The window closed up, the glass tinted so she couldn’t see in. Well, the glass could have been under a spell to conceal whatever was behind it. It could go either way when it came to magically floating windows that appear in one’s bedroom.

A few moments later, it reopened, and Cassidy reappeared. “That was quick,” remarked Petra.

“Well, everyone’s into Animal Crossing right now, so I had a bunch of potions already prepped. Just had to add a few ingredients to make the one you wanted.”

Petra smiled, her heart filling with joy. It was hard to believe that only a few minutes ago she was just browsing the web on her laptop when she came across this amazing deal! A quick click of the link, filling out a form, hitting Send, and now she had a witch/witch window in her bedroom, ready to personally deliver her the goods.

“So, here is your potion you ordered, exactly to your specifications,” the green witch said, placing a clear bottle of red liquid on the sill. There it was: Petra’s special potion.

The white-haired woman reached for it but was stopped when Cassidy held out her palm. “Waaaaait,” she quickly added, “You also get this. It’ll help with the burning aftermath.”

She placed another item on the sill, this time a water bottle. Petra took one look at it and snickered.

Though, the snickering only lasted half a second when she saw the intense stare Cassidy was giving her. “Um, right!” Petra said, “Water to wash it all down with. Gotcha. Will have it after I finish the potion.”

“Much better. That’ll be 12.50.” The two exchanged money and bottles, Petra eagerly scooping up her new drinks as Cassidy counted the cash with her gloved hands. After checking everything, she said, “Alright then. Have a good, feathery day!”

The witch smiled as she snapped her fingers. The window closed, the sill pulling in. With a quick spin, the entire windowpane and frame vanished without a trace.

The sight was certainly mystifying to watch unfold, but Petra had already gotten over it and was onto her drinks. She popped the cap on the red potion and chugged it down. It had a sugary, lemony taste to it, but nothing too unpleasant.

She let out a happy sigh consuming it. So tasty! I wonder how long it’ll take before- However, her brief thoughts were interrupted as her eyes began watering. An aftertaste flared up in her mouth, stinging her tongue and throat.

Hot hot hot! She dropped that bottle and grabbed the other, quickly opening and guzzling it down fast. She now really understood that the witch wasn’t kidding around.

After sucking down that quenching liquid, she gently pulled the bottle from her mouth, just in case a drop or two leaked out onto her lips. But as she did, a numbing sensation filled her maw. Her teeth began to thin and merge together, emerging from her mouth as the bottle drifted away. As they came out, her lips and nose combined with them as the shells spread around her mouth and across part of her cheeks.

She let out a cheery sigh and placed a hand to her face, satisfied. Her eyes widened a second later, the bottle falling from her hand as she quickly snatched up her phone. She looked at herself in the camera app, seeing a sharp, curved, but cute and pink beak with nostril holes on the top.

“Oh my!” Petra cried out, “It’s so cute!” She ran her hand across the beak, taking in its shell and form. It felt so smooth and polished, having a bit of a shine to it under the lights. This is perfect! I can’t wait to see the rest of me!

As she felt it though, her fingers twitched gently. From her fingertips, feathers as red as fire sprouted. They extended several inches out before another layer of feathers grew, sapphire blue with golden spots. The structure of her hands shifted and changed, bones and musculature turning more bird-like, while remaining humanish to allow dexterity to them.

The same time that happened, her feet quivered too. Her socks bulged at the toes; stretching, stretching until they burst. The rest followed suit as three-toed bird talons popped out. The skin was scaly, yellow with light brown stripes that ran up the toes and feet.

Petra looked between her hands and feet, shocked and then excited by what she saw. Shirt sleeves and pants legs began to unweave, falling apart as her limbs slowly shifted and transformed further. Light gold feathers sprouted from where the blue feathers on her arms ended, crawling up the limbs and to her shoulders. From her ankles to thighs, the skin became rough and hard, yellow with brown stripes like her feet. At her thighs, yellow feathers bloomed and rose past her hips.

“Now this is super cool!” Petra declared with a cheery smile. She flapped her wing arms a bit, lifting slightly off the ground before falling back to it. She couldn’t get much lift off, but as far as she was concerned, the appearance was what mattered the most.

When she landed though, there was a small shake through her body. Feathers sprouted all around her hips, waist, and rear, cloaking them in fabulous golden feathers. Above her rear though, longer, curvy, and roundish tail feathers bloomed. They grew over two feet in length, patterned similarly as her hands, though with red outlines to them.

Petra felt her shoulders lurch and tingle, a sudden warmth running through her body. She casually wiped her brow, taking a breath or two, “Phew… so hot…”

Given what she was becoming and how hot the potion was, she wasn’t surprised by the route the transformation was taking. Her blood, skin, and feathers felt incredibly warm, her entire body acting like the world was moving in slow motion. The feeling only intensified as the feathers rose up her torso, which thinned a little for a more delicate frame. Gold feathers ran up her sides and back while upon her stomach and chest, lavish red rose up.

As plumage coated most of her body, her shirt rapidly transformed as well, soaked from the rapid amount of sweat that came on. Her white shirt turned pitch black, any shirt sleeve remains vanishing. The collar lowered to her breasts, but soft red feathers popped and cloaked it. The bottom of the shirt rose a little above her belly button as a striking flame pattern appeared, giving her look an even more intense vibe.

She gently pulled up on her new tee, taking in a belly cloaked in feathers. Pulling down, she thought, sooooo close! Almost there… sparky~

She giggled and closed her eyes, feeling her head tingling. Her lovely, long locks slowly shrank back into her head as feathers crawled up her neck. Reaching her head, the plumage rolled over the back of her noggins first as the hair quickly retracted and vanished. Puffy yellow feathers covered where the hair was, two small, puffy crests popping up in their place.

Petra flinched, shoulders tensing and beak grinding. Her head rang with pain as its form began shifting at last. Her skull became more dome-like, cheekbones and jaws shifting. Her eyes slipped ever so slightly to the sides. Her ears even sank into her skull, leaving small holes behind.

Feathers finally engulfed her head, bringing her transformation to a close. Golden yellow covered the top of her head and went down to the tip top of her beak. Red feathers coated most of her head’s sides and jaws, an orange appearing just below her eyes. Her eyebrows vanished while her eyelids and eyelashes turned to a deep, sapphire blue, almost looking like she had eyeshadow.

She blinked a few times and looked back to her phone, the pain and an intense warmth dying down. Staring back at her with beautiful, brown eyes was a cute, lovely bird face. A quick check of her body and look over her shoulders confirmed it.

Petra chirped delightfully, her voice a bit higher in pitch. “Yes! I’m Phoebe now! This is so amazing, sparky!~”

She had truly become her favorite Animal Crossing villager, the lovely phoenix. Sure, she was classified as an Ostrich, but the bird, and now her, were more than certainly a phoenix.

She eagerly snapped a few photos of herself, quickly posting them all over her social media accounts. Her dazzling feathers, she thought with each snap of her phone and pose, her cute eyes, her nice fashion sense, and pure adorableness! What more could a girl want, sparky?

After several minutes of flooding her socials, Petra suddenly found her phone buzzing like mad. Tons of site notifications, text messages, and more were filling up. She blushed but giggled. “Oh right! Hehe, probably gonna have lots of questions about this. Oh well! Time to show everyone the new me, sparky! This is the best birthday present I ever got for myself!”

THE END~
