A tiny drawing. Probably about the size of my palm. @_@I just amped it up in PSP7.
The title is Anakin's quote (in my head, not in the movies). And Padme is not sleeping.

This is Padme at her funeral in the gorgeous water dress.
And I just wondered what Anakin would do if he attended her funeral. Most probably he would fall to his knees at the casket and weep. His beloved died by his own hand in his mad rage.

I wanted to draw his gloved hand clutching the sides of the casket, but I got lazy. So let's assume this is more of a feeling kind of piece. I drew Padme first and then added Anakin later. It took me 3 tries to get his face right and he moved up and down the page. @_@

Ahaha, it was pretty sad, and IMHO one of the best parts of the movie, let alone the prequel series when she confronted Anakin on Mustafar. T_T

It's easier for me because there isn't much symmetry involved. So I'm just drawing one eye, mouth etc.

Beautiful. Rarely is fanart able to capture this much emotion (and I'm no Anakin or Padme fan, so it's not just that I care about the scene and add those emotions to your art. )The composition is fantastic. And the drawing itself is so impressively detailed and...just plain good.

Thanks a lot! The composition pretty much worked itself out. I wanted them to have 2 profiles in harmony, where you could see both their expressions pretty clearly.
The whole piece is really built on their emotions (although I think Padme, being quite dead, wouldn't have much of an expression). I just chose to portray her as serene, which is how Anakin would remember her best.
