Silly title. Squall + lightning = thunderstorm. XPIt's been a long time since I drew any FFVIII. I was inspired by watching the FF Dissidia trailer. There's a scene where Squall lowers his gunblade from the stormy sky. I just thought it was cool. He would probably get electrocuted though. XD
I don't really like his Yuna-esque skirt in Dissidia, so classic FF8 gear it is.
Drawn in SAI (before I forget the idea).

Maybe they felt guilty because Terra was the only female in the Cosmos team, so they tried to afeminate some of the characters to not make her feel lonely.
And same about poor Bartz Klauser, with that tank toop with a very low neckline and those tight trousers that look like tights and, consequently, make his lioncloth look like a skirt

I haven't played Dissidia nor FFV, so it looks all right to me. Most of Amano's designs tend to be a bit girly, to me anyway.

and it is the best outfit they've ever designed for him, i cant see why they insist in ruinin it..

I thought about the length of the gunblade. Maybe it's foreshortened slightly? Since we are viewing him from a low angle.

that could be it, i cant draw perspective to save my life so im not a great help here.. just seemed a bit off this morning, but i must still have been trying to wake myself up heheh..
when you colour it, if you do, it'll come out alright. since it's still lineart it's hard to tell these things..

Hm, ok. Maybe I should taper the gunblade more then. I worked on this without perspective guidelines, so you could have a point there. Hopefully it gets coloured sometime this century. XP
