The haunting look in his depthless eyes was what first drew Whammy to the child...My first and only (marginally) successful attempt at watercolour. I have to admit, I cheated a bit by adjusting the levels on PS, but that is mainly because I didn't know that WATERCOLOUR FADES IN INTENSITY WHEN IT DRIES.
*SOBS*
What you see was the original colour, before it dried, whereupon it faded to a fraction of its former self.

I will remember that the next time I try painting. Or maybe I should just switch to acrylic...?
( My table is now a disaster zone. I overturned my water containers twice and the workplace is a mottled mess. I am all elbows. Sigh. The things I do for my art. -_____-;;
Done with black pen and watercolour. Levels using PS.

beautiful, the colors are great.
And yeah, I experience the same problem with watercolors T^T tho, I have a set of small watercolors that don't change their intensity when they dry, but unfortunately I used them too much, and they're almost gone. Don't worry about changing levels in photoshop, many artist do that cuz It just makes the pic look more presentably.

Well, I've always thought that using photoshop was pretty much tantamount to cheating... but then I'm changing my mind, since how the pic turns out is the most important thing!

L as a child, how cute...yet gloomy at the same time. I like watercolors, something about the blending effect that draws me into it. i haven't tried painting with acrylics yet.
