You know, the creators of Totally Spies! were going to animated series based on her series, but due to disagreements, it was scrapped and we got Team Galaxy instead:Β www.catsuka.com/news/2006-08-2β¦

This IS awesome, you totally nailed the looks, it's perfectly her.
(I still read the comics. As long as Roger Leloup makes them. She was the first comic character I had crush on. And the only one,)

There are some similarities. But YokoΒ΄s first appearence was in 1970 long before Yori.

Yoko Tsuno has always been one of my top 5 favourite comics characters! Even after many years I love to read again a a book or two from time to time. I see your drawing was inpired from the "Fire of Wotan" story. I pretty good one. I love the way Leloup drew Wuppertal and its famous Schwebebahn suspended train... I would not be surprised if one day some of Leloup's stories were made into some movies.

Me too. I Probably was in Wuppertal 5 or 6 times in my life. I used to have some good friends there. I also visited KΓΆln and especially Rothenburg ob der Tauber (twice), bringing along my Yoko Tsuno book with me, of course! The funny thing is I met Japanese girls there who were kind enough to accompany me round the city, following Yoko's footsteps. That was really funny. I also visited Burg Eltz, Sankt Goar, die Lorelei, went to Pleumeur-Bodou in Britany, Bruges (which is quite near), Hong-Kong and even Japan. In fact, now that I think of it, I have been almost everywhere Yoko went to, except Glamis Castle in Scotland and Vinea. Funny, isn't it? ^_^! Now, where is my plane ticket to Scotland? LOL!

Ah, Yoko Tsuno! I've read about half of the books if her adventures! I quite like them, and the drawing style of Leloup; but to me he seems strangely unable to draw old men. Girls and women, and younger men look alright, but when he depicts older men it just looks .... fake? Nothing wrong with Yoko herself, though!

For me in general the male charactes are not that good drawn.
I like the technology driven stories and IΒ΄ve got all 25 of them.
