When watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica's last episode yesterday, I was too sad to see Sayaka finally leave his beloved boy, Kyousuke. After a period of time, I have suddenly understood that Sayaka is the mermaid in Andersen's Tale in which the mermaid left her prince in the end, not the mermaid in Disney's Movie where the mermaid married him. I can't ignore the fact that it's still a bad end for Sayaka, yet it is the tragedy that has branded on my memory.See you, Kyousuke.

Very beautiful piece, I love the transition from the dark, ominous "Witch Purple" to the soft white. Sayaka's expression is very well drawn as well. Can't believe I missed the "Little Mermaid" imagery in the anime, awesome job!

Favorited this a long time ago and I forgot to comment on it. I love how you depicted Sayaka and Kyousuke, shame that they never gotten together and Hitomi got him. At least Kyousuke remembers her and maybe learned the lesson of not taking things for granted because they will disapear one day. Since he did treated her like crud in some parts of the series.

Though I think there's little possibility that Kyousuke realizes his hand recovered because of Sayaka's magic power, yet he must remember the girl who was always encouraging him when he was in his lowest point of his life.
