"...My sun, my dear, dear sun..."Something a bit different than my usual stuff yet done with the same technique as I usually use ^__^
This is fan art of Dark Souls. A very unforgiving game for PS3/Xbox360/PC , yet one of the most memorable experiences I've had when it comes to video games.
The knight in the picture is Solaire of Astora, a warrior of the sun. He seeks his very own sun and journeys to the end of the lands searching for it.
Fans of the souls games might recognize the pose from the cover of Demon's Souls.
The text is a play on "The king is dead, long live the king! "

You CAN save him if you are quick enough and kill all the sun-shaped maggots before they reach him. He wil then go on to help you defeat Gwyn and complete his quest.

Damn...Why Solar? Why you gave up? Saddest moment in game. Even if we save him, and he wouldn't become hollow, he will still dead inside, because he lost all hopes to find a Sun. So sad...

I like to think he went on, despite losing so much hope, on his own to rekindle the flame. Becoming the new sun, shining bright in the sky. ^__^

When i had to kill him, i felt very sad, why solaire knight, why..? He's was the only one i never wanted to kill, yet, he's become crazed with his newfound power.. Even his dying word was so goddamn sad.

He can be saved though! But I agree.. It's such a sad conclusion to the story line.

Yeah, i learned how to save him after writing my message.. i feel dumb though. But the way he's can be save is quite annoying to do, but, if it's for him ! \o/

It might be one of the easiest covenants to rank up since you can get a hold of humanity rather easy. Still time consuming tho.

Mm I did. It's the same kind of technique that I use for my manga art.
I don't normally enjoy drawing this kind of picture that much. But, I think it can be fun to
mix things up and experiment sometimes.

The game has a ridiculously high entry level. With big gaps between each check point and enemies respawning upon your deaths or accessing checkpoints, it just isn't kind haha. I love the challenge tho, makes it all the more sweeter once you nail the patterns and beat the area after failing countless times before.
