This is Crikey, a Cryolophosaurus; I bought this bad boy from MalbetI gotta say I absolutely adore his design! He's got a very eye pleasing pallete and simple but brilliantly placed markings. Easy to colour, nice to look at.

An image can look like a photograph and have no character, a stick man can show the emotion of 1000 photos..... I lost me train of thought my point is- all of your pictures are CHARMING AS FFF and are always expressive and have feeling to them. It doesn't matter about anatomy, or position, or colour- that all changes with time- but having that natural gift to bring life to your image is an art, and you have mastered it <33

It is interesting, though, to see how images do and don't have life to them... and there's not one thing that makes something look expressive or not.

I love cartoons style images :3 like the derposaurs. They just exaggerate expression to achieve a correct response from an audience- its one of my criteria with my fursuit- exaggerated expression... But things like this <3... Its like secret that we'll never know- and that's what makes it special <3

Cartoony styled things are brilliant, I agree. I think Land Before Time did it pretty well, when it comes to dinosaurs. Ah, but the secret of crossing cartoon with realistic is perhaps the hardest and the best of them all.

Once you've crossed uncanny valley and are now nesting in semi-realistic world you're one of the happiest artists alive -3-

Indeed. That darn uncanny valley is an artist's worst enemy.
Although, I really didn't like Littlefoot. The rest were great in character development... but Littlefoot always annoyed me.

Agreed. Ron was perhaps my all time favorite... and probably the most realistic of them for the most part; ahh... Honks was best!
