This is also a good macro shot. I think I prefer the other gecko because of slightly more detail in those psychotic eyes!

Absolutely wonderful!! His face alone so much character, maybe its more attitude than character. Did it take long to get the shot? When I try with my animals they never want to behave.

Actually I have a bit of a trick with leopard geckos.. my canon EOS 300D makes a little chirpy sound when I focus, which really attracts their attention due to the similarity with the noise of their food (crickets)! It still takes a while to get the shot right, and I usually reel off 10s just to get a couple I'm happy with. I find it particularly difficult getting a sharp focus due to their movements and size
