Twilight slowly shuddered awake. Another night of horrid nightmares. It’s almost clockwork at this point, sleep, nightmares. Sleep, nightmares. The girl begins to wonder if Midnight is truly gone, because she…
No, she’s gone.
Twilight sat up on her bed and began to ponder. What about the cuts? The attempt… it couldn’t have been a coincidence. Since Camp Everfree, Midnight Sparkle has been dormant since Twilight embraced the magic of friendship. “But.. still.. dissociative acts like Midnight Sparkle.. tend to last a long time.. I wonder if-”
“Hnn.. Good morning, Twily…”
Twilight jumped a bit, realizing she’s not wearing much of anything. Nothing at all. Twilight nearly forgot the night before… she never experienced such passion and joy. Though both of the girls were a little sore from the rigorous… activity.
Sunset lifted her head and rubbed her tired eyes. Twilight looked to her, smiling warmly. Sunset looked back, giggling. “What’s up, silly?” Twilight leaned to give her girlfriend a morning kiss.
“I’ll make some breakfast for you. My parents are at work today so we have the house to ourselves. Rest up a little bit, I’ll take care of you.” Twilight hops up off the bed, still realizing that she’s completely naked, but since she’s in the view of one she loves so much… it didn’t feel so revealing. Though the cuts… they were something else. Sunset, on the other hand, looked on at Twilight, admiring the view, before returning to sleep.
After putting on some panties and an apron, Twilight made it to the kitchen to fry up some eggs and ramen noodles. The sizzling sound of the eggs woke Sunset up, walking into the kitchen, stretching and lazily leaning on Twilight, as she cooked.
“What’s on the menu, hot stuff?” Sunset asked.
Twilight blushed, and replied “Some egg ramen with cheese. I’ll make it good for you.”
“Never tried. Sounds good, though.”
Twilight cooked up the batch of eggs for Sunset along with a bowl of ramen noodles. The two girls sat at the table, almost longing for each other, lost in the other’s eyes, just like in those cheesy romantic comedies.
Sunset giggled as she enjoyed her food. “Why aren’t you eating, Twilight? It’s important you get something, too.”
“Oh, I had an apple, I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so. I gotta look out for you, yannow.”
Twilight got up and kissed Sunset on the forehead. “I’m gonna get in the shower. You’re most welcome to join me when you’re finished.”
Sunset watched Twilight walk away upstairs.
Sunset looked down at her food, finishing it up quickly and setting the dishes away, looked up at the slightly opened door to the bathroom.
“I could get used to this.”
