Description You learn something new everyday -> I never knew this type of photography was called a "Flat-lay". In other words, Flat-Lay photography is when you have everything spread out on the table/floor and you take the photo from bird's eye view. I have seen lots and lots of photographers on Instagram post photos in this style but I never knew what it was called. Finally found out today. You don't see many flat-lays here on DeviantArt whereas on Instagram, you see it everywhere. I wonder why? Whatever the case, it's time to bring the Flat-Lay trend over to DA now xD

The sunglasses add an incongruous element that really sets it apart from other photos of this kind. I also note that one of the plates is empty...

I didn't know this was called flat-lay, either. I love the style of most flat-lay photos, and this one is no exception.

Yeah I was very happy when I discovered this type of photography actually had a name because calling it
"birds eye view photo" sounded a bit weird haha
