I did that one purpose, its not specific to not seeing her front, instead you're not supposed to see her face. Like on the covers of the Percy Jackson series. 
Leaving the face out is important because it allows the reader to create an image of a character that they find most relatable. They can put themselves or a friend or their favorite actor in the hero's place. It makes the character more open for interpretation.
