I like it!
love the read parts... turned out alive and vivid...
but maybe some more sharp shadows could be added.,, and a little less blurr tool,...

keep at it friend!

Hm...
I definitely see the need for more contrast. If I ever decide to rework this I'll all that in. (I can never tell when I haven't gone far enough or go too far - something I'll have to work on.)
I actually barely used the blur tool on this. (I think only on the semi-opaque yellow highlights.) I know when I size my pics down they blur quite a bit (I think this has been fixed a bit by switching to .png uploads) but if not I'll have to see what else could be giving off that effect.

Regardless, thanks for the crit and glad you liked! ^_^

Ok then what brushed do you use in PS?
Or maybe you just use the airbrush in its standard mode?

why do your pics blur when you resize them?
that sounds really weird...

And how do you color? approach your stuff?

I use a combination of brushes - hard, soft, and airbrush. Maybe I'm just not putting in the hard detail yet? I'm still relatively new to digital art. But yeah, the more I think of it the more I realize that probably is something I need to just get the balls and work on, regardless of whether that's the issue you're seeing there or not. Hn.

As far as coloring I tend to paint in greyscale then use a color gradient map. (I have trouble picking the correct shades to make realistic shadows but I'm slowly getting there.) Then I just paint on top for colored highlights or anything like that.

And yeah, the blurring really threw me off a bit. When I size down a .psd file by changing the image size it grows blurry. I don't know what the issue is there so I'm just playing around with using other file types for the time being.

I see Im pretty new as well...
I look at different tutorials all the time trying to suck everything in
Some of my stuff turn out blurry to but the more I work on em the less blurr remains in the end...
for example in this piece, [link]
the gun looks blurry,,, Usually I´d keep painting untill the blurr dissapears, but I couldn´t be bothered on this particular piece..

have you tried drawing in any other way to see if that resolves the Blurr problem when you size down
your drawings? just doodle up a face in different colors and then size it down, just to see the result..
