Backstory:

Val was born in this world alone without his two parents, hatching out of his egg within a dark and damp cave. Val was a fluffy blue furred woobat/Eevee mixture with the typings Psychic/Normal. His Mother; a Swoobat/Slyveon mix and Father Vaporeon/Alomomola weren't anywhere nearby and the small fluffy woobat/Eevee was left scared and unsure of what was even happening. Why were they alone? Where were their parents? The small fox pup didn't know and on top of that, he was awfully hungry too. So the baby waited all curled up for anyone to come over to him, maybe his family was just out getting food for him and they didn't realize he'd hatch before getting back? But as the hours continued to tick on and with not a soul coming over. Woobat/Eevee started to get even hungrier and couldn't just sit in this cave shivering and slowly growing more hungry.

So the young Pokemon toddled out of the cave, stumbling a few times in the process before finally reaching the outside. The woobat/Eevee was in awe at the sight before him and without thinking about his current actions decided to sprint out in childish excitement. Which was short-lived when the pup tripped over the neatest rock and tumbled to the ground with a thud. Confusion turned into loud cries fast and the small baby being extremely hungry didn't help his already dampened mood.

This time his cries weren't gone unheard; a lone Mightyena was out on her daily hunting trip and heard the distressed cries. At first, she thought she was hearing things since it's rare for a baby to be out in the area.. But after silently listening for a little longer the Mightyena wasn't mistaken and had rushed to find out what was making all the racket. Upon seeing the small blue furball the Mightyena didn't think it was what she was searching for until she was right above it.

She wasn't sure what to do at first just by looking at it. The woobat/eevee was a fresh hatchling and it wouldn't be smart to just leave it alone.. So after thinking it over and giving the young Pokemon a few licks on their head to calm down the baby. The Mightyena decided that the best option was to take the baby home and raise them herself. So she did and this was the start of Val's life with his new family and pack.

Val's childhood after being adopted by his new mother was very lax and full of love. The young Pokemon had a blast growing up and even evolved during a full moon night into his Umbreon half of his mixture which gave him his new dark typing from evolution but he still kept his Psychic typing from his woobat side of his fusion. But something about his evolution was off.. His normally round markings were more curved like a heart shaped plus had a pinkish hue to them as they glowed in the moonlight and the tuft of fur covering his face had darkened in color. Almost looking like a purplish shade and when he looked to his tail and paws they had also shared that same purple color.

During his time growing up in the pack, he had a rocky start at trying to befriend his stepbrother but didn't mind and waited for them to be ready to accept him as their family. Val didn't have any hunting or patrol responsibilities like the others in the pack due to him being too small. So he spent most of his time chatting with the other pack members or playing with other Pokemon his age. Sometimes he'd watch his brother, Alpha whenever the hound was in the middle of their training to become the next pack leader. Val always made sure to be by his brother whenever the other felt down or stressed out.

Val wanted to see Alpha succeed in their training so he was happy to help support them whenever he could. Though there are times that Val wonders where his parents were in this big world and if he could get the chance he'd love to reunite with them someday. He wanted to show the kind Pokemon that had cared for him as a baby growing up to his lost parents. Val could only hope for a day like that to happen but a day like that might never come.

Especially after the mess that one fateful night in a cold storm. Val only wanted to spend time with his brother for a little bit to return to their entire pack and family just gone. All Val had left was Alpha and the two needed to stay strong even if Alpha seemed to change that day. Even if he tells Val he's fine, the woobat/Umbreon knew he wasn't truly fine..

The two had finally settled down at a nice little spot near a pretty river. The non-stop traveling had tired both brothers out but Val was happy to have finally had a somewhat stable home for the time being. But it didn't last long until after a week passed by and Alpha had spotted a Pokemon approaching them. Val kept himself hidden behind his brother while he talked to strange Pokemon who soon mentioned being a part of some group and even asked if the two like to join their ranks. Val wasn't sure this was a good idea but Alpha seemed all too eager to accept their offer which left Val no choice but to agree to join as well despite how he felt.
