Evan is one of those who knows he is beautiful, but he is also very aware of his lack of physical strength. He is well known for his charming smile, cherub curls and efforts to be a perfect gentleman. He believes very much in aesthetics and reputation, and works very hard to uphold his own. Still, though, Evan’s genial grin and flirtatious wink aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

It’s difficult to say how trustworthy or honest Evan actually is, and there’s no telling what might happen if you try to dig beneath his skin. Despite his refined posture and pressed clothes, there’s turmoil lurking beneath his all but glittering exterior. Evan Lavalier might seem to know who he is, and what kind of image he’s trying to project, yet still he is at a loss for who he actually is. Much of this deep seated uncertainty is focused around his sexuality…but much more of it has festered and grown from his desire to please his parents and those around him.

Evan might always seem to keep his sickeningly sweet composure…but needless to say, if you push the right buttons you might be surprised at how fast he could loose it.

History:
Evan was fortunate enough to be born into a reasonably well-off family, although they still seem rather uptight about loosing their full blood status a few generations back. Both of Evan's parents work in the ministry and are very conservative. Even as a first year, his parents have always pressured Evan into having good grades and perfect behavior. His mother was always much more considerate than his father, yet if his grades ever threatened to fall there was a significant difference in her behavior concerning her son. Neither of them have ever been particularly forgiving or open, so Evan has kept his homosexuality (which he still continues to deny) a secret from them. Due to his subconscious fear of disappointing his parents or being disowned, he also has a bit of misplaced homophobia.
Still, though, despite all this Evan places no sort of blame upon his parents, not does he hate them. In fact, all he truly desires is to make them proud (which might either make him a particularly good person, or an ignorant one).

As for family history, his mother was born in Britain and his father in France. They met when his mother visited the country with her sisters. Some could laugh and say his father is where he learned some his 'extraordinary' powers of wooing (and of course how he learned to speak a little french).

Upon coming to Hogwarts he has always been thought of as a ladies man. Evan has had at least thirteen girlfriends in his 7 years at Hogwarts and is currently single and quite ambiguous with his flirtations with the opposite sex. Although, these past two years Evan has been rebelling in his own little ways and is beginning to revel in his independence.

This wand is rigid and particular, and in the wrong hands it is unpredictable and temperamental.
The little Turkish Angora you see gazing skeptically up at Evan is Alice. She is four years old, playful, and is known to stare unblinkingly at students when she doesn't follow at her master's heals. Alice is perfectly capable of fending for herself foodwise, but knows that her master has some very delicious (and expensive) canned food for her within his trunk.
