Wow, I think the last time I actually posted anything on my DeviantArt was like, two years ago? Oh well, here’s this.

It’s been a while since I took a peek at Warriors, and I recently started watching some AMVs again? I also decided to check out Twin Shadows again, one of my favorite Warriors fan webcomics by cushfuddled ! I was pretty behind and it had been quite a few months since I last read it, so I wound up rereading the entire thing from the beginning, haha.

For those who don’t know, Twin Shadows is a webcomic based on an AU in which Rusty never came to the forest, or actually - to be more precise - didn’t come until after Bluestar’s assassination attempt by Tigerstar. So the entire timeline is completely different, as Firebutt wasn’t there to stop Tigerclaw from killing Bluestar (so he succeeded and got away with it), and pretty much every cat except Lionheart is still alive. It’s honestly one of the coolest concepts and shows a totally different side of many of the antagonists, Tigerstar in particular. Everything has changed, the plot, the characters, even the overall prophecy, since “Fire alone will save our Clan” no longer necessarily applies.

Anyhow, sorry for the rambling - but basically, I was thinking - since Sandstorm and Spottedleaf actually fall in love in this AU, that means Squirrelflight is never born. So that means Brambleclaw never gets with her. I then noticed how much I love Bramblekit and Snowkit’s friendship in this AU (Snowkit survives the hawk attack in this story) and thought.. heyyy, why not MORE gay cats? So here’s this, lmao.

I definitely recommend reading this story, I’m totally hooked and dying for the next update! I’ll probably make more fanart of it to be honest.

Sidenote, I tried my best to replicate the design for Brambleclaw from the Twin Shadows comic, so it may look a bit wonky as my design for Bramble is kinda different! And the drawing was supposed to come out looking like a new sketchy abstract painting type thing, but it just looks messy. Oh well.
