Description "A long time ago, in a middle school far, far away..."

I ADORE Star Wars. It's been my absolute favorite film franchise ever since I first watched it when I was 8. I've seen all of the movies, have played Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga to near 100% completion, own tons of Star Wars merchandise, and have dressed up as Star Wars characters for Halloween (I was Padmé Amidala for Halloween when I was 8), conventions (for the first fan convention I ever attended, I dressed up as Princess Leia), and even to go see the movies in theaters (when The Phantom Menace was rereleased in 3D in 2012, I went to see it dressed as Queen Amidala. I know, I'm a total dweeb.)

As such, one of my favorite stock episode types in cartoons is the "Star Wars episode", an episode in which the characters of the show reenact the events of Star Wars. Examples of this stock episode type include "Star Koopa" from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars", "Cat Wars" from Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater, and, of course, Family Guy's three Star Wars parody episodes: "Blue Harvest", "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side", and "It's a Trap". It's just so much fun to see the Star Wars story retold with a different cast, and see what characters in the cartoon are playing the roles of Luke, Han, Leia, Vader, Chewie, C-3PO, R2-D2, and the rest.

Thus, ever since I was little, whenever I got into some new thing, I'd often think "wouldn't it be cool if the characters from this thing reenacted Star Wars", and would have fun deciding who would be who, as evidenced by these tweets . And a few days ago, as I was listening to music on a long car ride, a thought came to me: Star Wars, but with Diary of a Wimpy Kid characters. So the next day, I put on some Star Wars music in the background, and got to drawing!

This is based off of the movie poster for the original Star Wars .

Also, in case you can’t tell who’s who:
Rowley Jefferson is Luke Skywalker
Robert Jefferson (Rowley’s dad) is Darth Vader
Greg Heffley is Han Solo
Rodrick Heffley is Chewbacca
Holly Hills is Princess Leia
Susan Heffley is C-3PO
Manny Heffley is R2-D2
Angie Steadman is Obi-Wan Kenobi
Heather Hills as Grand Moff Tarkin

Diary of a Wimpy Kid and all its characters belong to Jeff Kinney
Star Wars belongs to Lucasfilm
