i've been wanting to give dr. clyde o'brien a redesign/redraw for a while, admittedly. not too much changed but i kind of wanted him to look a little more like the clydesdale breed of horse... so the feathering on his hands is a bit more visible now, and he has a slightly larger build (clydesdales are some of the largest horse breeds, after all). his mane is also a bit longer/more unkempt. admittedly any middle-aged horse man is going to look like bojack to some degree so. there's that i guess

so far i've decided that clyde will make at least some appearances in episodes 4 and 5. he's an employee at the labs of indiana and ohio network, though he primarily works at a mental health ward in a hospital near the lab's headquarters. when he works at the lab, he tends to help investigate the missing person cases. he's generally a reasonable (if somewhat strict) individual, wants what's best for his colleagues/patients/other allies, a hard worker, and a gentle giant (he's around 6 and a half feet tall).

a bit strangely given that clydesdales are a scottish breed, dr. o'brien is actually mainly irish (and lived in ireland for most of his early life). he and keefe have been friends since childhood, and nowadays they even work in both the same lab and the same hospital.
