This reminds me of a mural that painted in my city and for that alone it is quite lovely. i really like the background and how its all blue and plus all the stuff you added with each an every character is really charming and brings a lot out. So ya nice work!

Jeez, I usually don't comment on posts just 'cause I don't know how to word things correctly but this is such a wonderful piece of art that I may just have to do so! Drawing/Painting such large canvases with the inclusion of the buildings, cars, and lots of people can be a lot of work. I usually keep away from doing such pictures because of the time, effort, and skill that must be put into them. The thing I probably adore the most though is the vintage 20's vibe it has plus the liveliness of the characters. Makes me wish I could join the party with em!Β Β

I wrote a comment a while ago, but my broadband hiccuped, and it was gone.
It mentioned the dreamlike quality of the cityscape, with the monolithic skyscrapers almost as characters in their own right. It had a lot of praise for the detail and variety of the costumes, and for some apparent technical improvement in anatomy and cloth shading, with the banjo player and the stranded rabbits as particularly outstanding. It pointed out that some aspects would have benefited from another pass, such as the inconsistent perspective of the cars and the hard lights, but that this is overall a very impressive picture with - for the lack of a better word - a lot of life in it. Lastly it wondered about the title, if the vixen in green is perhaps a self-portrait.
Fortunately I have some experience with necromancy, and as you see I have conjured up the ghost of it.

Thanks so much! I wish the vixen was a self portrait, but I'm not as cute as she is! I've always had trouble drawing cars or buildings, but because this is a cartoony piece, hopefully it goes together! Thanks for the kind support! Β

You are very welcome, and indeed, it does. There is something about your 1900-1950's scenes that remind somewhat of UPA cartoons, only far more fluid and elegant - although I may have gotten the wrong impression, since historically only a really small part of their library has been available in Sweden.
And about the (non-)self-portrait; none of us looks quite like we wish to. It probably does not need to be said, but my hair in my avatar is a wig -.^

I love the stylized UPA cartoons! Disney is my favorite, but UPA really had a big influence on the way cartoons looked and changed in the 1950's. Β
