“Which nut decided to have her first foal be from a pegasus?!” Growled Tornado. “I’ll kill them!” The effect was somewhat lost as his voice broke at the end.
“Just try to keep her as calm as possible, ‘Nado...” Dare muttered, sweatdrops going down his face. “How’s the foal doing, Fawn?”
“I don’t know - ’s not moving...” Fawn said, sounding terrified.
“But it’s breathing, right?” Firehand asked.
“Yes.” Fawn nodded, biting her lip. “But only faintly...”
Dare looked over at the foal and Fawn. “Blast it all...”
“Just focus on Firefly first, son...” Firehand said. “The foal will have a good chance with its mother alive, but Firefly won’t make it without you.”

“Uncle Fire!” Thistle came rushing in. “Quick! Reckless is going berserk! He broke out of the main pasture already! Raven, Firecoat and Elye are slowing him down with Granddad, Grandmum and Hur but not even they are able to calm him!”
Firehand jumped up. “What?” He hissed.
“I think he heard Firefly...” Thistle said.

As the title says; a bit of a crisis here at Golden Flame Stables. If you didn't understand (or read) the above and the image is unclear to you - Firefly just gave birth to a foal, but both are in danger of dying

And as most characters portrayed are unknown to you, I'll give you an introduction:
From left to right (not including Firefly or the foal):
Thistle - Youngest son of Storm and Nightshade (Nightshade is seen here; [link] and Storm here: [link] <-- OLD picture)
Tornado - Second son of Storm and Nightshade (he's got a slightly older twin brother) - usually quite a prankster
Firehand - My OLDEST character ever (rider of Reckless: [link] ) - and yes, he's got a LOT of scars
Dare - Oldest son of Firehand and Thora (Thora seen here: [link] <-- Again OLD picture) and best friend of Tornado, Hurricane (Tornado's twin) and Skytoucher (not drawn yet)
Fawn - Adopted son of Storm and Nightshade (also seen here: [link] - She doesn't have the arm knives here for fear of injuring the foal, also, I changed her eye-colour to yellow) - she's generally shy and is afraid to trust most

As for the foal - you'll have to wait and see

Firehand is making sure Firefly doesn't cool off too much (using his hand to transfer warmth into her), attempting to stave off her shock, while Dare (who is a Healer) is attempting to repare the damage caused by the exit of a form that her birth canal wasn't prepared for. The foal itself is covered by Firehand's cape (which is why he's shown barechested here)

Anyways, this image took me LOOOOONG to make but I'm more or less satisfied with it, though there's some things I just couldn't get right
One of those being that I'm not sure if I got the proportions right...

As for credit: I used ~redheadstock 's ground texture brushes for the base of the wall and floor. The straw I made myself though!

Anyways, I put a lot of time and effort into it, so no stealing please!
