Okay okay, so we just HAD to do this. There are so many people who believe that Axel is Reno's nobody. I, for one, believe it too, but not so much as to be disapointed if it's not true.So here I fan the flames of this theory.
My friend Kristen is the Soldier Heartless there, and we found a random Axel walking around. I layed down on the ground with the Heartless standing over me with my recently stolen heart and an emurging Axel.
This is for all you fans out there who are devoted to the Axel-is-Reno's-Nobody theory. ^_-

I wish this were true, but it seems that is not ... Tetsuya said it is not ... he just wanted to know the reaction of people to find a character like (read: Equal) to an existing one in another game, but Axel is not Reno's nobody, unfortunately. (but in the fic I write with a friend of mine, we put the Axel as Reno's nobody xD)

Yeah. Though, I'm kinda glad it's not true. If it was, the KH Yaoi whoring fans would turn him into another pedphilic sex-crazed rapist like all the other male characters in the game. D: (don't deny it. You know it's true).

Reno's Nobody is Axel...Hmm that sounds right I think.
Cause in Organization XIII the creators scramble names and just puts X's on them like...
Sora = Roxas.
If you took the X off Roxas...it will turn out to Sora.
Since Reno's Favorite drink is "ALE" I think they put it as AXEL.
Take the X off and scramble it...it's Ale.

Nomura (I'm sure you know who he is, but for the people who don't), the creator of the Organization, and some of the FFVII characters, has said that Axel's name came from Reno's favorite drink, Ale.

You know, this picture was the first "Reno is Axel's Somebody" related thing I ever saw, therefore it introduced me to the theory. (And since then I've figured out all kinds of reasons it cuold be true, and became a fan of that theory. All thanks you you.

Um, shos Axel is Reno's Nobody. They have the same English voice actor in KHII and FFVII:Advent Children... (Quinton Flynn!) so they're supposed to sound the same. And the facial tattoos? Cockiness? Red hair?!
