For the final fanart prompt of 2019 for the Gang of Five I opted to go for the optional choice of drawing a scene from a previously submitted fanfiction prompt. In this case I went with OwlsCantRead fic Five Stages of Grief. It depicts the conversation Ducky has with her mother from these couple lines:

Ducky felt her mother's arm on her shoulders, and soon heard her gentle words as well. "Now, now, Ducky. I'm sure that he didn't make this decision lightly. Spike knows that you must be broken-hearted—"

"He does?" Ducky cut in as she folded her arms, breaking out of her mother's massage and turning around to glare at her in a rare show of defiance.
