thanks; no matter how hard I tried and how many combinations of colors I used, I still couldn't replicate the actual color of the water down there!!

very very nice! i love the shadow fromt he palm tree. the water seems to be too much of one colour to me.

I'd so hang this on my wall in my room. It's perfect for it. Gosh, i'd love to live there. It's just so peaceful and so pretty (the painting as well is jst so beautiful)

thanks..not sure what plant..the dark purple in foreground is my weak attempt at a shodow from the tree.

thanks..The hardest thing is getting the water color right..I know, even after mixing numerous colors, I still misssed the mark Here I think I ended up with cobalt blue, some phalo green (you definetly don't want to mix in white..too opaque). Sand is full of colors, e.g., mauves, violets, blues...I usually mix these with colors like yellow ochre and white, raw sienna and white, naples yellow, etc. In order to make the sunlight look bright you need to have some darks, e.g., the deep shadows in the foreground. Hope this helps
