Description Full Title: So There Was Me, The Atheist, Standing There Staring Up at The Very Face of God, Wondering What I Should Say and Trying Not To Look Like An Idiot

More Stupid Light Tricks. A self-portrait on a slow exposure outside a parking lot in Owosso, MI, USA.

EDITS: Color correction, crop, and I cloned-out a double-image from when I accidentally moved a bit during the pic (forgive me, purists!).

(Oh, and for the record, I consider myself an atheist-leaning agnostic, actually, but "Atheist" just sounded better for the narrative.)

Very nice. I really like the composition.

That being said.... yikes do you look like me. You're a bowler hat away from being my doppleganger

I see what you're saying. I'm thinking I ought to try this in an area with more background scenery. I'm inclined to keep everything in to keep as strong a "setting" as possible, but the RR sign can be a bit overbearing.

Then again, I'm a bit of a roadgeek/signgeek, so I kinda like that in there. Now, that "TiAL" sign, I could do away with. However, I'm not a huge fan of mass-cloneout, especially on purely photographic work.

yea i agree, i don't clone my photos [unless its to get rid of a few blemishes here and there] i guess its all a matter of finding the right places to photograph

I tend to be less of a photographic purist. I'll attack my photos with postprocessing like color, skew, and lens correction, and I'll do cloneouts when it's absolutely necessary, but I've just found that the trained eye can usually spot most cloneouts, and a lot of times, it just looks better to keep some blemishes (like the sign) if their abscence (and associated clone-garbage) would be obvious.
