Description
Based off of the latest chapter of Avilux Ignis.I usually don't feel like working on a request (hence the uber procrastination when I do get one) because I need to feel inspired/motivated to work on it.
This one was based off of a request though
It's slightly different - I was requested to have a half-face Gale/Vaati, but I was feeling meh about it initially because I felt like the end product would have been Vaati with wardrobe problems (i.e. half a hat, half a hoodie, etc.). Then I started doodling a face, and then I started coloring it, and then the whole thing drew itself from there.
Notice anything creepy about Gale's eye? Or, oh wait, do I mean Vaati...
I HATE coloring things because I'm lazy, and I usually abandon projects I start coloring (...because I'm lazy). Going back and looking at my older works, I'm psyched about how much I'm getting the hang of digital coloring.
This makes me hate coloring less (now to fix the laziness problem).
Vaati belongs to Nintendo or Capcom or... whoever he really belongs to.
I claim rights to the design of his modern personality.

Ah, he's a character from my other fanfiction Legend 2010: Avilux Ignis (and also in current sequel Legend 2011). In the first story arc he gets accused by Link (modern version) that he's actually Vaati (and that kickstarts the plot for that story).

They are just so beautifully amazing. you cant help but love them, or at least admire them. i am so glad they get their own story. i wonder how it will tie into zelda though?

Just noticed this comment thread: I'm in the works of thinking about National Threat, and I'll say this extreeeemmmeeely tentatively, but my goal is to start the story this summer (when hopefully I'll have the most time to work on two stories at once - I doubt Rend will be finished by then).
Vaati/Gale will still be in the story so in that sense it'll be Zelda, and I've also got a few tricks up my sleeve that will let it have that Zelda vibe.
So glad you liked talon three! They're "bad guys," but loveable bad guys (I hope)

Rend is such a massive project its amazing you are even looking at national threat yet. But its impossible to get a story out of your mind. I am a prime example of having way to many stories started and none finished.
If Gale is in it then Dark might be in it too right? Since last we saw they were living together. Out of curiosity will Zelda have any role, since she already lives in that time period?
I love Talon Three, because bad guys are meant to be loved. How else would we explain the fandom behind Vaati.

Dark would be in it, and I don't know about Zelda but I think she should at least be mentioned.
I don't know how big a role those two will play though. I don't know how good I'll be at managing that many characters at once

At least dark is in it. And i kinda hope Zelda plays a small role. Mostly because i love the way her and vaati interact. Perhaps she is still studying magic, maybe even learnign to use it, i mean she should have magic in her veins if the other zelda's do.
