I actually finished this pet portrait full illustration commission before Christmas but somehow didn’t get round to post it. I’m so in love with how it came out! The commissioner did initially request paisley patterns to be worked into the background, but graphic elements like that are a bit new for me and I couldn’t quite make it work. Something for me to work on I think.

I’ve always loved German shepherds. They just seem so loyal and look gorgeous. I will always remember nipping to the corner shop once near to where I used to live and as I turned to the counter there was just this massive black German shepherd on its hind legs and it was just so beautiful!
