So this photo works on basically every level: it's well composed and technically very proficient (especially as a piece of post-production) with only the ash itself looking less than utterly "present" in the picture (to me anyway). It's also eye-catching because of the models clothing or lack thereof and the overt poses which echo modern social trends with the current zeitgeist for "50 Shades..." and all such thrills. and then, subtly (or not, YMMV) the message abot smoking concerning domination, subjugation, damage done and even possibly the commentary on the motives of the tobacco industry lift this to a whole new level.
This is a picture to be applauded for it's inventiveness and mastery - well done.

The manner of the Mistress and her subjugate totally make the scene compelling. The posture and expression of the cigar brandishing Beauty are cool, calm, collected and completely in command. She goes about her business with ease and certitude that her charge is entirely in her hands. The ash assimilating lady has a body language and expression of divinely sourced euphoria. As if her role as the enslaved is a spiritual cause and release for her. The ash is administered as if a High Priestess in a temple is serving a sacrament. It is accepted as if the apostle is receiving a communion. Power play with all the energy of church.
