It may only be a dandelion but it is Larkspur's first introduction to eating things other than just leaves and grass. Pisces is no expert on every edible flower but she recognises this one and reassures Larkspur that it is perfectly safe to eat. With little nibbles at first, Larkspur then proceeds to goggle the whole thing and look for more.

The defining moment in Larkspur's life, and the prompt for her becoming a woodland hermit compared to other stys. Pisces spots the predators first and urges Larkspur to stay safe in the cover of the nearby woodland before charging out to face the creatures. It is a brutal fight, and traumatising for little Larkspur, who can only stand back and watch. Pisces is triumphant and returns to her little charge. But from this day forth, Larkspur would not find it easy to leave the swathes of forest and woodland.
