Happy really, really belated birthday I hope you Like it! ^______^This is a B-day present for my friend the characters are Mylo that's the mermaid and Mino that's the other one. I drew these two for here because she RPs as Mylo and really loves this pair. This took me forever and a half, so I'm sorry again for it being so late.

I like how you did more with this background than just putting something blue and water-like, but at the same time, all the fish are a bit distracting. The jellyfish, especially, are so luminous that they draw attention away from the main subjects. (That being said, I love the way you did the jellyfish.) Perhaps a slight blur would make them less distracting, and make it less obvious that many of them are duplicated?
Underwater shading is really difficult to do, so I'm afraid I can't give you advice on that. I can say that the shading doesn't quite ring true to me--you might want to check out how other artists handle underwater lighting effects.

Thanks this is really helpful. I think I might try to fix the fish if I can find the file.
I think the layer with the water texture messed up the shading on them so I think I'll try to fix that as well.
