Description This was the result of some experimentation of an iOS app called Procreate.  As you probably know, I enjoy drawing things with a darker tone to them, so this was undoubtedly a fun project.  I also decided to start using a watermark as well (which I should have done long ago).

Sorry for the lack of art recently.  School has left me exhausted, especially within these past few weeks.  
I hope you like it!

This one is spectacular. I really love the glowing red eye, and the blood looks very aesthetically pleasing. I admire your ability to make deep emotional artwork.

I quite enjoy making things with a deeper meaning, usually either dealing with emotional state or sometimes critiquing certain unjust things in the world (though much of the ones dealing with describing issues in the world are mainly ideas still; I'd like to draw them though).

I really like this piece!  The glowing red eye and the dripping blood on the crow are very nice touches!  Also like the cracks in the background as well and the tone of the piece too!

This is so cool! I love the way you've done this, with the all-black crow and stained background to bck it up. The blood is a really good contrast to the black.

Ugh, sorry for not commenting for so long. It got lost in my inbox...

This is pretty amazing. I also love darker drawings and pictures, so this kind of makes my day. I love how bright the eye is, too. Really does a great job of drawing the viewer's eye. Love the texture on the background, the blood drippings, the slight vignette, the cracks along the bottom...really, everything about it is awesome.

Thank you so much! . I am glad to hear that you enjoy the dark theme. I love to draw dark things and add in hidden meanings. I tried to add in a lot of things that stand out as being abstract in this drawing, and, as the title suggests, create a sort of decaying feel.

You're welcome! I especially appreciate hidden meanings in a picture. A nice looking picture that follows the rules of composition and whatnot is nice to look at, but a picture that takes thought to unravel meaning is much more interesting. You've done a good job.

The form of this crow shows powerfully against the paler but dark background. It seems to be placed in an abstract setting, with dripping blood and cracks. The appearance of blood does call upon thoughts of loss of life, and that gives the image an impact. In the crow's posture and open beak do you capture the form of this beautiful bird, and the style of colouration is painterly and also looks well. The glowing eye makes it a supernatural presence. It is quite an interesting image.^^

I'm glad to hear that I captured the kind of image that I had wanted. I desired to create an abstract scene with the grunge textured background and the cracks, as well as making a contrast with the painted style crow.

Ah, I would have posted art much more frequently if I weren't such a perfectionist. I draw a lot, and I post most of it... though 90% of it ends up in sketch dumps. 

But, nice dark looking raven. I like the blood dripping out and the glowy red eye. You know I also like dark art, as that's basically the only type of art I post, even if they are only dark in theme.

I understand what that is like.  I do the same thing with schoolwork sometimes too, and it makes everything take a long time.  I still enjoy seeing what you post though.

Thank you, I am glad you like the dark aspect of this drawing as well as the blood.  Bloody things are fun to draw for some reason; perhaps it is simply the nice contrast between deep crimson and grey scale colors.  I have noticed that you implement darkness often in your drawings, and I feel that is one of the things that makes your style unique.  Darkness is a good theme for a lot of things as it helps give contrast to other elements.
