A nice little family portrait...maybe? When I look at this piece I ask myself: what is this anyway? The answer is, I donΒ΄t have a clue. I wanted to do a picture with some common elements from your average fantasy world...but most of all, I wanted to something with a beast in it. Hmmm.Related content

Well thank goodness you put the beast in there b/c he's the best element of the picture! I love all the colors and just the way you worked it all into his scales...I actually do see this as a family portrait. An old seer with his two, cute, fairy daughters and their dragonish guarddog...hmmm - he needs a name. I want to call him Fang, but that's so unoriginal. Hmmm...how's about - Spike! Yup, that will do nicely

Because as a child, what made stories really magical were the illustrations, and i think, now, you'd be wonderful at that.
