My personal favorite from the Sunday sunrise shoot near Wilkieston, just before Newbridge in Scotland.This took some ordeal to get to! I was talking away with my mate Adam and I decided to be the one to get out for my first sunrise shoot. I ended up going out, and getting to a different spot from which you see. Then went to switch on my Canon, and nothing happened! I then realised I didn't even have my battery!!! It was then a round trip back to quickly get it, then back out to capture the sun coming up. I found this stunning rapeseed field not far from my work, and on the way to Edinburgh (Capital of Scotland).
I have to say, the crazy mistakes, and misfortunes soundly came together, as I couldn't be much happier with this one.

Awrh I've forgotten my battery before too, I felt like such a dafty. I was going for a sunset that night and was lucky to get home and back on time! xP

great shot. I t requires a lot of skill with the camera to take such a nitid, clear and well focused photo, while facing towards the sun. well... I guess

Wow, this is heavenly. I love how the radiance from the sun is accentuated from the different hues of the sky. The silhouette from the trees also give this another dimension. Amazing photo

Were you using any special filters for this shot, or is that a bare lens?

The filters I used here were a polarising filter, and a gradual colour filter.
